Meow is a Mac OS X application for monitoring notifications–mainly distributed notifications–that are flying around your system.
Cocoa provides a notification mechanism whereby asynchronous events are broadcast to observers, or listeners, that have expressed an interest in one or more of these event types. What are these notification events?
They often represent mundane things such as menu tracking and switching between applications, but can also be much more interesting, such as indicating that the screen saver is kicking in, or that the system is waking up or going to sleep.
